How I Plan to Reach €500k in Indie Hacking
Hey builders!
Today, I want to share a great news: I reached my first €100k ARR milestone 😄
My next target is now €500k ARR by 2026, and this time, I’m shifting my focus.
I realized tech is now more accessible than ever with all the AI tools. So competition becomes harder (I counted more then 30 IACrea’s competitors, and I’m sure there are plenty more).
Which means, the real challenge today isn’t building—it’s breaking through, getting known, and offering more than competitors: better quality, simpler use, etc.
To stay efficient, I’m concentrating on the areas where I already have a strong network and letting go of projects that would take too much energy just to find clients.
The Tech Challenge
At the moment, my co-founder manages everything technical—maintenance, improvements, and developing new features. But as we grow, it’s a lot for one person to handle alone. Scaling up requires additional support on the tech side to ensure we’re improving current services and building new ones efficiently.
My Distribution, the growth engine
With IACrea, I’ve built a strong and qualified audience in real estate, a powerful resource for launching future SaaS projects. Same for the audience of builders with X and my newsletter. My network is a major asset that I can leverage across new services, helping to accelerate growth by integrating solutions that complement each other.
Why Partnerships?
To reach my next revenue goal, I’m turning to a strategic approach: partnerships. I’m collaborating with talented indie hackers who will take on the tech and product side of new SaaS projects. The idea: we each play to our strengths. I’ll focus on maximizing the reach with my distribution network of over 10k qualified contacts, while my partners handle the technical development. This way, we can grow faster, more sustainably, and create solutions that make an impact. All SaaS will be linked each other’s to amplify the interests and reach.
“I don’t have a distribution, should I stop indie hacking?”
Before closing this newsletter, if you think “I don’t have a distribution, should I stop indie hacking?“, here’s my answer: No, not necessarily.
First, are you sure you' don’t have a strong network in an area? It could be a domain like retail, AI, bank, etc. Or person categories: developers, cat lovers, teachers… If you do, leverage from it!
If you don’t:
- you can start today to build a personal branding. I wrote a full post about this here.
- you can make partnerships with people who do have the right distribution for your service. I insist on the “right” part. I’m really often contact by people with a big AI audience to sponsor IACrea. This is not interesting for me: people who love AI don’t care about IACrea, they are interested in the tech and possibilities, but they won’t convert into clients.
- you can start networking, it’ll take time but it’s very useful
➡️ And you, what’s your biggest challenge today? Distribution, tech, or something else? Let me know—I’d love to hear from you!
PS: if you’re a talented indie hacker wanted to build a SaaS in real estate, you’re welcome to reach out to me. I have many ideas, some are easier than others.
