I reduced my churn from 41% to 16%

And I share with you my simple actions

I've decreased my churn rate from 41% to 16%, and I share with you all actions I’ve done to reduce it.

IACrea’s churn

Estimated reading time: 1minute and 16 seconds

At the outset of IACrea, my churn rate was high. Indeed, users can easily unsubscribe at any time with just a click.
As a client of multiple services myself, I dislike encountering difficulties when trying to unsubscribe. Therefore, I chose not to complicate the system further or alter the design to hide the unsubscribe button. Instead, I explored alternative methods to reduce churn:

Credit rollover
My subscription offers include a set number of "photo credits" to use each month. However, the needs of real estate agents vary from month to month.
To prevent subscribers from feeling like they're paying for a month without utilizing the service, I implemented a credit rollover feature. Now, if they don’t use the service for a month, they don’t loose their credits, unused credits will be added to the following month.

Annual subscriptions
Previously, I only offered monthly subscriptions. I introduced annual subscription plans at a more appealing price point for clients (2 months offered). These plans have been a resounding success, with one out of every two clients opting for a renewable annual commitment.

Quality Improvement
I used to receive many complaints on the output quality (architecture modified, bad design…). Thus, I highly enhanced the quality of the photos, ensuring that users no longer leave due to dissatisfaction.
And now my clients are happy :).

New Services
By adding complementary features, I aimed to increase users engagement and minimize reasons for churn. I don’t only offer home renovation, I now offer a variety of service to enhance the real estate agent’s photographies (blue sky, better quality, kitchen creation, decluttering…).

I hope that sharing my journey to reduce churn was helpful!
